Privacy Policy

1. Summary

This website does not track you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts. There is no contact form and no account system, so there is nothing on this site that asks you to submit personal information.

The rest of this policy explains the narrow cases where OPTML LLC does hold personal information: when you email the studio, and when you engage the studio as a client and pay an invoice.

2. Who is responsible

OPTML LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operating from Washington, DC, is responsible for the information described here. Contact details are in Section 10.

3. What this website collects

Nothing, directly. Specifically, this site does not use:

• Analytics of any kind, including self-hosted analytics
• Advertising or conversion pixels
• Tag managers
• Cookies, local storage, or session storage
• Chat widgets, heatmaps, or session recording
• Externally hosted fonts. Typefaces are served from this site's own domain, so loading a page sends no request to Google Fonts or any other font provider.

You can verify this. Open your browser's network inspector on any page of this site and you will see requests only to this domain, apart from the embedded video described in Section 5.

4. Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like effectively all web hosts, Vercel records technical information about requests to the server, which can include IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and operational troubleshooting, and are retained under Vercel's own retention practices.

OPTML does not use these logs to build a profile of you, does not combine them with other information, and does not use them for marketing.

5. Embedded video

Case study pages may include video embedded from Vimeo or YouTube. Where they do, the embed is loaded through each provider's privacy-enhanced endpoint, meaning the provider is instructed not to use the playback for ad personalization and not to set tracking cookies before you press play.

Even so, loading an embedded player means your browser contacts that provider, and the provider may record technical information about the request under its own privacy policy. If you would rather that not happen, do not open case study pages that contain video, or block third-party frames in your browser.

6. Email

If you email the studio, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach. That correspondence is kept as long as it is needed for the relationship it relates to, and for as long afterwards as is reasonable for record-keeping. It is not added to a mailing list and is not shared with anyone else, except where a project genuinely requires it and you have been told.

There is no newsletter and no marketing email program.

7. Clients and payments

If you engage the studio, we hold the information needed to run the engagement and to invoice you: your name, business name, billing details, contact information, and the records of the work itself.

Card payments are processed by Block, Inc. trading as Square. Square is a separate company and handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy. OPTML does not receive or store full card numbers. Card statements show the charge as SQ* OPTML LLC.

Invoices, payment records, and related correspondence are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

8. Your rights

You can ask what personal information OPTML holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Requests go to the address in Section 10 and are answered within a reasonable period.

Some information cannot be deleted on request, in particular invoices and payment records that must be retained for tax and accounting purposes.

9. What OPTML does not do

• Sell personal information
• Share personal information with advertisers or data brokers
• Use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling
• Track visitors across other websites

11. Children

This site is not directed at children and the studio does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. Because the commitments in Section 3 are specific and verifiable, any change to what this site loads will be reflected here.
